Our Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Wolcott Public Library to provide and promote open and equal access to the resources and services of the library in order to meet the informational, educational, and cultural needs of the community. The library seeks to encourage reading and the use of current technology for life-long learning and the enhancement of the individual's quality of life. The library offers a welcoming public place for both community interaction and individual pursuits.

The library will uphold and support the Library Bill of Rights.

Using Our Library

We are here to assist you with your informational needs. 
Our library is open to the public and does not require a library card to enter or use our technology.
Visit, call or email us at library@wolcottct.org with specific questions or requests.

Borrowing Items

You must present a Connecticut library card from your hometown in order to borrow items. 
You are responsible for all items checked out on your card.

Overdue Fines

Most items loaned by the library are fine free. 
However some time sensitive items, such as Wifi-Hotspots and Chromebooks, do.
Items that are lost or damaged beyond simple repair will have to be replaced at the borrower's expense.

Public Computers

The Wolcott Public Library has 10 public computers with Internet and Microsoft office available. 
Computers are available starting at 10:00 am and up until 15 minutes before closing time.

Patrons are responsible for any information they access or leave on public computers.

The amount of time that patrons can use these computers may be limited to ensure that all of our patrons have equal access.

Technology Assistance

The Wolcott Public Library offers one-on-one assistance to patrons in using technology. 
If you have a new device or are having trouble, we can try to assist you.
